Baby Annabell

Last year Baby Annabell was one of the Dream Christmas Toys of 2006, and it still remains the UK’s best-selling doll. What little girl doesn’t want her very own dolly that she can look after?

This new version is sure to be no exception. Expect it to be on every girls christmas wish list.

Baby Annabell is maturing. Each year, newer versions are developed to make Annabell better and more appealing than before. 2007 sees version 4 starting to react to sound and turn her head as though she really listens to you when you talk. The idea being it will encourage children to communicate, build up their vocab and interact more effectively.

To be fair though, I think most kids do this with their toys anyway without there being a need to promote it with a head turning doll. However, it will definitely appeal to young girls and parents may even be swayed by the ‘educational’ aspect of this toy.

New sounds include; gurgling, realistic sucking noises when drinking from her bottle, crying, burping and baby gobbledygook, whilst her mouth movements allow her to yawn, suck a dummy and drink water from her bottle. Doesn’t sound like a very relaxing toy to me!

Apart from the extra noises she makes and the head turning trick, she is pretty much the same as the previous Baby Annabell, but kids will love her.
