Yes, it’s that time of year where the annual Book of World records comes out. Full of interesting facts and figures, quirky events and some amazing human and animal feats. These books are loved by everybody and are great reading material on wet weekends.
I often wonder how some people come up with their ideas for getting into the Book of World Records. Like the guy who has been recorded as having the longest growth of inner ear hair ever, in the world or the man who could hold 8 rattlesnakes in his mouth for 12.5 seconds. How do you learn to do that?
Every kind of event is featured in this edition from phenomenal natural events to incredible feats of endurance and ingenuity, skill and stupidity. From the worlds largest pot of spicy soup and the worlds largest ice-cream to the worlds tallest man and the largest monkey. The most tattooed person, the most model balloon shapes made in an hour and the largest collection of airplane sick bags(?). Phew, the list is endless.
Call them strange, call them incredible its very compelling stuff to read. The book comes with a very cool shiny cover and features glow in the dark images and lots of great pictures.
An interesting and fun read for kids of any age and will get you through many a rainy day!
