I think original artwork is a fantastic gift idea - it is something that can provide enjoyment and last for years. Nowadays you can buy original paintings online and for a fraction of the cost than buying from a gallery.

Roy Kruse’s work caught my eye recently, especially the snow scenes, a perfect seasonal portrait.

Roy is a landscape artist and paints beautiful scenes of nature. A waterfall, the countryside in Autumn, sunsets, peaceful lakes and twilight nights.

All his work is done with oils and or acrylic paint on stretched canvas. He signs every single painting and each one is a one-off.

The canvases do come unframed, which lets you chose a frame to suit the picture and your decor. It is also a nifty way of making sure the delivery charges remain at their lowest, as you won’t have to pay for heavy frames in the postage costs.
